Allusion

Li Bai, also called Li Taibai, was the Tang poet known as the Immortal of Poetry and loved wine. A legend says that while drunk by the water, he saw the moon reflected below and tried to embrace it, then drowned. Later tales imagine him riding a whale toward the moon palace, turning the story into a poetic image of longing for what cannot be held.
