He casts himself beneath the cliff where the bronze bird dwells. Such a task must be returned to a true man. Who else can take up this plan and carry it through? Between heaven and earth, there is hardly another like him.

Running about, you meet barriers and danger after danger. Dragging water and mud, you still try to cross the mountains. You hope to seek use in another place. Across a thousand miles, the return has not yet come.

Pines and cypresses flourish in a deep green forest. Rain, snow, wind, and frost cannot truly harm them. One day they suddenly become of great use. Fame and achievement come, like timber fit for the main beam.

Please do not act from private desire. This matter is best spoken of with fairness. A clear heart shines bright and clean, Like the bright moon standing in the center of the sky.

Priceless jade and treasure are hidden in the stone. Yet outsiders keep searching for it elsewhere. It is like carrying a lamp while looking for fire. Better to gather yourself and stop the wasted effort.

What you seek is an uncommon success. Yet relatives and in-laws are briefly busy around it. In the end the arrow will strike the chosen mark. A noble person guides you toward a place of noble help.

Misfortune turns to peace within a short distance. For a while, meet the worthy person coming from the mountain. If tiger or rabbit brings good news, Set your will, and busy matters become calm.

Born young into a house of wealth and honor, All before the eyes is splendid and luxurious. By your lord's gift of purple gold and a jade belt, Your name can surely be praised across the seas.

Like an immortal crane leaving its cage, Once free of the cage, every road opens. North, south, east, and west have no barrier. You may rise straight to the palace of the ninth heaven.

The traveler resents the day and cannot swallow the anger. If sudden trouble appears, do not go forward. When the bird's forest nest is broken, it has nowhere to stay. Seek a deeper, steadier place to shelter yourself.

The worried brow and tangled thoughts open for a time. The clouds part, and joy comes of itself. Like jade hidden in dirt and dust, A skilled craftsman recommends it out of the earth.

Do not listen to idle talk and disputes. Morning and evening, it is better to recite Amitabha. If you take wild words as truth, How can a painted cake satisfy hunger?

The golden crow sets in the west and the jade rabbit rises in the east. Day and night have cycled from ancient times to now. Monks and Daoists who understand this find no disadvantage. Scholars, farmers, artisans, and merchants each follow the heart.

At the head of the rushing shoal, the boat is released to return. What use is it to stir wind and waves? If you want safety, seek steadiness and calm. Wait until the waves are quiet, then pass this danger.

After long spring rains, clear weather is welcomed. The jade rabbit and golden crow grow brighter little by little. Old matters scatter, and new matters go smoothly. Soon one leap may cross the Dragon Gate.

The way of yin and yang joining is arranged by Heaven. Woman and man unite in marriage with joy. When dragon and snake meet together, A warm dream of reunion arrives.

In drought the fields are all withered. Thanks to Heaven, sweet rain falls steadily. Flowers, fruit, grasses, and trees are all moistened. Then one knows a single rain is worth a thousand gold.

If you wish to grasp the immortal cassia and enter the moon palace, Why worry that Heaven's gate will not open to you? Suddenly good news arrives, And everyone smiles, wearing flowers in celebration.

Without reason, no theory can stand and no family can be formed. A foolish person with a watery nature is like falling blossoms. If you ask for royal favor, strength is still needed. In the end, matters appear tangled like hemp.

After passing several layers of danger and worry, From now on, standing again will not be empty. A broad heart has its own broad-minded plan. Meeting a master, great merit can be made.

News passed from above and below turns empty. A letter arrives from the edge of the sky. The letter promises that rank and fame will be fulfilled. Yet at the very end it is still empty.

For every plan and every use, another document is weighed. Thinking before and after, one dares not act. When the time comes, a noble person gives support. Then the wall stands firm as a mountain, and one can live in peace.

The moon rises in the east, bright and beautiful. In a moment clouds cover it, and darkness remains. At times it is full, and at times it is lacking. Words of blame are only idle talk.

A treasured sword leaves its case and shines bright. While inside the case, it gathered no dust. Now a noble person brings it out. With power and presence, all people admire it.

I urge you not to seek this from others. It is like a crane flying in while hidden arrows are shot. If you go gather firewood, a snake lies in the grass. Its poisonous mouth may bring sorrow.

Sit quietly in leisure, without worry. After eating, drink tea, sometimes sitting, sometimes lying down. Put down body and mind, and do not rush. Then resentment and disaster will not be invited.

The future seems distant, yet do not doubt it. Who knows jade is hidden inside the stone? One day a fine craftsman cuts it open clearly. Only then does the calm promise of green jade appear.

Priceless treasure and jade are stored within. Having jade, why seek outside? Better to wait for a master to recognize it. Let the heart be broad, and broader still.

In movement and retreat, in going out and coming in, keep courtesy and righteousness. Words must be loyal and good, trust must be clear. If the heart is not yet clear, let it become quiet and transparent. The bright red sun is shining overhead.

Set clothes and cap in order, restoring the old family style. Though the road seems endless, the effort has merit. Sweep away thorns and brambles from the path. Three people make an agreement and come into harmony again.

Do not worry about present illness or lawsuits. All the wealth on the ground may be sought. It is like a monkey freed from its golden chain, Returning to the mountain cave to roam at ease.

If you wait for the body to be safe and fortune to be smooth, A candle in the wind is not suitable. Better to gather yourself and sit in the deep hall, So the flame does not shake and can shine in quiet.

News from the edge of the sky is hard to understand. Do not be suspicious or force what you desire. If you grind a stone hoping to make a mirror, You only waste your own labor.

When chess meets an equal opponent, each move must fit. Black and white on the board are not yet decided. Victory and defeat can be known from a single move. You must teach yourself to calculate well.

Gentleness has always overcome hardness. The gate of accumulated goodness brings great fortune. If someone receives this lot, it is like finding fine nectar when terribly thirsty.

I advise you to patiently keep your old livelihood. Hold the heart steady and do not raise crooked thoughts. Wait until someone gives the matter a light push. Then withered branches and old trees will bloom again.

Flowers are added to brocade, and the color grows fresher. When fortune arrives, salary and horse bring double joy. Do not resent that fame and achievement come late. One success in the exam is known across the four seas.

In autumn the kun bird changes into a great peng. It loves to roam and rises joyfully in flight. Soaring ten thousand li into the clouds, all other birds cannot compare.

In bitter cold, heaven and earth freeze water into ice. Why greedily chase fame and achievement? It is best to guard yourself and sit quietly. When the time changes, clarity comes naturally.

Across the five lakes and four seas, you may go as you wish. Raise the sail high and steer freely. If you gain a following wind, you arrive at once. The boat full of treasures brings layers of joy.

In summer heat the days are longest. Everyone suffers from oppressive heat. Heaven and earth also understand human feeling. A fragrant breeze naturally brings coolness.

Scooping the moon from water wastes effort. After all that effort, nothing is gained. Do not speak idle words and scattered talk. You only exhaust the mind and make the body lonely.

Disappointment turns into satisfaction. The dragon sings and the tiger roars, and both fit together. Under blue heaven there is a road reaching high. Fame and achievement are promised again in time.

You gain treasure in a dream, but wake to nothing. You thought the southern mountain meant long life, yet it is only a hoe. If asking about marriage or illness, seek another road for support.

A worthy father passes to his son, and the son to the grandson. Food and clothing are abundant, relying on Heaven. Parents in the hall are joyful. Eat when hungry, drink when thirsty, sleep when tired.

In a small rapid, the rocky stream makes noise. Under clear wind and bright moon, the noble helper is busy. On the road, you must ask which way to go. Do not take the fragrance of flowers and grass in the woods.

Talk of right and wrong passes by the ear like wind. Good clothing and good salary naturally become abundant. Do not cling to the events of earlier years. Your intention is still the same as mine.

Remember these plain words. Do not seek another craft in a foreign place. You must keep to your old livelihood. Apart from this, all else is unfavorable.

You climb straight to a high tower to hide yourself. Thorns surround the four sides like a forest. Heaven is high, and life has its long and short span. Gaining one thing instead turns into losing two people.

Carrying firewood to save a fire makes all burn. Even burning through three thousand, it remains so. If asking about glory, wealth, coming, or going, it is better to pack up and stop wasting effort.

By day one chants poetry, by moonlight one sings. At the occasion, play the part and laugh freely. When meeting comes, it is hard to hide or avoid. All sing praise together, joining the marriage bond.

Morning and evening rely wholly on Buddha's support. Danger is met, yet danger does not become danger. If a noble person leads you on, wealth and goods will also follow then.

Long ago, while sailing, a needle was lost. Today you still search the sea for it. Even if the original needle is found, it will cost much labor and much worry.

A swimming fish is in a blue-green pond, but suddenly nets surround it on all sides. Thinking hard, it finds no way to turn and escape. In the end the matter brings trouble and blame.

The joy before your eyes is not truly joy. It is not dangerous, yet it is not peaceful. Why cut flesh to patch a sore? Better keep to the old and wait for the time.

The road is dangerous, the horse exhausted, and people hurry. A soldier separated from the army is deeply trapped. The rapid is high, the waves fierce, and the oar is broken. At sunset the flowers fade, and frost falls from the sky.

A golden thread weighs your heart. It neither lessens nor increases, neither heavy nor light. If a person's life is upright and honest, writing and skill become complete and bright.

The household is filled with auspicious celebration and unusual joy. The gate of accumulated goodness brings great fortune. Marriage, fields, silkworms, and all matters are fulfilled. When illness meets the right medicine, peace and health return.

When winter comes, one plum branch stands on the ridge. Leaves fall and branches dry, yet it is not destroyed. If warm spring arrives quietly and quickly, it returns me again as the foremost flower.

Day after day, you are like a bee gathering flowers. You fly out southwest, then run east again. When spring ends and flowers are gone, there is nowhere to search. Yet this heart does not change its old tracks.

Who knew the azure dragon would descend to the busy roads? In those years, the woman married a second husband. It is like one bow set with two arrows. One fears the dragon-horse cannot live in peace.

If you raise bees, you seek their honey, but fear the sting at the tail. There may be another path before your eyes, yet in the dark it is deep like a thorn forest.

Spring comes, thunder shakes, and a hundred insects call. With one turn of the body, you leave the mud. Then you know that coming and going still continue. In one morning's transformation, you become a dragon.

Like a swan flying in, it enters a cage by itself. It wants to turn and escape, but cannot get through. North, south, east, and west are all hard to leave. This lot truly fears endless regret.

It is like carrying a tiger over a high mountain. Trembling with fear, the courage turns cold. Unexpectedly, through a good turn, you must preserve your own safety.

Fish and dragons are mixed together, their meaning unclear. Keep patiently to the deep pool and wait for fortune to open. Unexpectedly one morning the head rises high. A leap through Yu's Gate passes into the dragon palace.

In a dream it is said that great wealth is gained. Reputation beyond the clouds still comes empty. Distant waters and far mountains are hard to trust as real. With a noble person's guidance, the face opens in a smile.

Cold water has not yet boiled into white steam. It is neither cold nor hot, holding mild warmth. To travel the world, there is no other matter. It depends on the body having a hundred strong arts.

You made a vow in empty space to protect peace. Once the body was safe, the vow was not repaid. Do not forget the sacred ones; the vow should be fulfilled. Know this divine word and do not treat it lightly.

Go straight up to the immortal rock to study immortality. One day, the emperor will summon you. The blue sky, sun, and moon shine constantly. With a correct heart, your name spreads across the four seas.

Wutong leaves fall as autumn nears its end. Travelers return like clouds on their journeys. Thanks to Heaven exerting great strength, a following wind carries a boat of treasures home.

Blazing fire flames up to the sky. Within the flames, a lotus still grows. In the end it completes and is not harmed. Leaves, roots, and branches still live and spread.

It is like the moon on the third, fourth, or fifth night, still lacking. Half absent and half present, not yet full. Wait until the good night of the fifteenth. Everywhere is bright, everywhere is round.

What is it to lose virtue for name? Beware that blessing may turn into misfortune. Drunk, one no longer knows where to go. In the shadow of green pines, the dream is dim.

Clouds open, yet mist covers the mountain road. Within the circle of all things, the moon becomes full again. If books and poems can wake the sunken dream, a noble person leads you step by step to the heavenly terrace.

Spring comes and flowers bloom beside the sunny terrace. Carriages come from ten thousand li bringing treasure and wealth. If you gain the three waves of Yu's Gate, it is like thunder suddenly sounding on level ground.

A person walks halfway up the ridge as the sun touches the mountain. Steep cliffs and rocks are not yet safe. Looking up, one asks Heaven for protection. This body is still between peace and unease.

A wooden tiger stands before the gate. It has authority, but does not harm people. It is clearly said there is no obstruction, yet worry and hesitation frighten the heart.

Coming and going with plans is greatly auspicious. Like flawless jade hidden within stone. If a noble person comes to guide you, then you find the treasure and rejoice in bright scenery.

Suddenly a message flies toward Heaven. Treasures of Mount Tai return in a full boat. If asking whether the road will form a good matter, a noble person still pushes from ahead.

Open your worried brow and come out from the crowd. The road ahead changes, with joy and much wealth. A great road is as wide as Heaven. Whenever you give wealth, the heart becomes open and happy.

From youth he was a merchant, making plans as needed. Wealth and salary are full and need not be sought. If planning a matter with two bodies, the scholar goes out and returns as top graduate.

The luan and phoenix fly, their feathers soaked by rain. At that time, they are bullied by sparrows. One day the clouds will open and the way will clear. Your feathered robe will be set right again.

A noble person should not copy petty conduct. If the matter goes wrong, each side has blame and dispute. The qin must be heard by one who knows its sound. Keep normal and quiet, and the shape appears faintly.

Ambition and achievement are built day after day. Now wine and sensual pleasure are too abundant to bear. If you see the golden rooster report words to you, wealth, blessing, and salary will be invited to you.

A lofty jeweled pagoda is no ordinary thing. It shines in all eight directions with subtle brilliance. I urge you to set your will and bow diligently. Do good, and Heaven sends blessing and auspiciousness.

Lighting a candle in the wind leaves only loose shadows. Dimly it spreads like flowers in a mirror. Again and again children try to gather it up. How could they know it is only an illusory floating branch?

For coming and going, plans should be delayed. Idle worry may stir up dispute. Like a bird flying into a net, how much time is there before it can escape?

Holding the reins and whip, the horse comes straight through. Half the matter has worry and danger, half has disaster. It is like a house burned by fire, then timely rain falls from Heaven and turns it to ash.

Buddhas and spirits show their power so you may know. A foolish person speaks of matters and grows more confused. If an old person receives this sacred lot, it is better to keep to the old and wait for the time.
