Allusion

During the Tang, Xue Rengui was trapped in the west. His son Xue Dingshan, Lady Liu Jinding, Xue Jinlian, and Cheng Yaojin went to rescue him. At Chessboard Mountain, bandit Dou Yihu tried to seize provisions, while his sister Dou Xiantong fought and captured Dingshan. Cheng Yaojin acted as matchmaker, the two pairs became couples, and the former enemies joined the rescue. The story turns enemies into in-laws and bandits toward good.
